When should you service your air conditioning?
By the Aircadia team
A well-serviced air conditioner uses less, lasts longer and delivers healthier air. But how often should you take care of it, and what is mandatory?
The recommended frequency
Annual servicing by a professional is the right cadence for most installations. Between visits, you can clean the indoor units’ filters yourself every few weeks during heavy use.
What the law says
Above a certain amount of refrigerant, a periodic leak-tightness check by a certified operator is mandatory. Your installer tells you whether your unit is concerned and by when.
Good habits between services
Clean the filters regularly, clear the outdoor unit of leaves and dust, and watch for warning signs: drop in performance, unusual noise, odours or water leaking. At the slightest doubt, a quick diagnosis beats a costly breakdown.
The Aircadia tip: an annual maintenance contract saves you thinking about it — we remind you at the right time and keep your installation’s history.
